Working While Pregnant

3 / 13 / 173 / 1 / 17

working while pregnantWhen you find out you are expecting a lot of changes take place. Find out how you can lead a healthy lifestyle and continue working while pregnant.

While theoretically every woman knows beforehand that pregnancy will change her body, a lot of us feel ultimately unprepared when the changes finally take place. A lot might take you by surprise. While most women feel well enough to continue as before, they still need to make adjustments to their routine. Many women simply don’t have the option of taking an extended break from work during pregnancy, and others don’t want to either. There is no reason whatsoever why you shouldn’t be able to continue working well into the pregnancy – even up to your due date – if you take good care of yourself and respect your limits. Of course, each pregnancy is different, so find out what works for you and your baby. Here are some things that are sure to do you good and help you keep those energy levels high all the way to your due date.

Our Rainbow Baby

2 / 28 / 172 / 20 / 17

Rainbow babyAfter suffering a miscarriage, Jenna Jabbour shares the road to getting her rainbow baby.

I was told to wait three cycles before trying for another baby. We hadn’t planned to get pregnant the first time, but we were excited to start a family.

On Friday 1st May 2015 I took a sneaky pregnancy test before jumping in the shower while the test developed. I got out of the shower to a very faint second line. All the emotions from the first pregnancy came flooding back. I was excited, but nervous. This time the nerves were for a different reason. I was scared. If I lost one baby, it could happen again, and I’d be completely devastated. I decided to keep it to myself for as long as it took to work up the courage to tell John.
