Homemade Apple Chips

5 / 30 / 175 / 22 / 17

apple-chipsDo you or your little one have a bit of a sweet tooth? These homemade apple chips are the perfect solution.

With only two ingredients, you will find no excuses not to bake up a storm with these apple chips. Cassie loves apple, and I usually hand her a whole one from the fruit bowl and watch her munch away at it. She doesn’t make it through much and I tend to finish it off for her, but I love watching her discover and learn with new foods and textures.

Dips For Toddlers

3 / 16 / 173 / 9 / 17

Dips for toddlersFollow my junk food overhaul as we stock up on Organix biscuits and sneak in some healthy dips for my daughter to enjoy.

If there are two things I can guarantee about my Cassie, they are:

  1. She will never turn down a biscuit.
  2. She loves dip.

The biscuits are of course a no brainer, what toddler doesn’t love a biscuit? It is only recently that my 18 month old has come to understand that she has a choice. I picked up a banana for her snack time, but she insisted on running to the cupboard and enjoying a biscuit instead and would not take no for an answer.

Turning A Smoothie Into A Meal

3 / 15 / 173 / 6 / 17

smoothie-ideas-for-kidsLearn how turning a smoothie into a meal can help when feeding your fussy, slim or teething toddler.

My son Reuben is 18 months old, and since birth he has been on the skinny side. I have never been particularly worried about this, as my husband is very slim and has a petite frame, however I would get concerned when he would go through a fussy phase, or a phase of not eating, or when his teeth hurt and he didn’t want to eat anything, as he didn’t really have any excess weight to lose if he got sick or something serious happened.

Sweet Potato, Feta and Pea Frittatas

2 / 21 / 172 / 13 / 17

fritattasThese delicious sweet potato, feta and pea frittatas are the perfect lunch-on-the go for your little ones.

Frittatas are one of my favourite go-to meals when it comes to cooking for Cassie. They are so simple to make, and you can through whatever ingredients you have in the fridge into them. I cook them in muffin tins (we have upgraded from the baby ones to the proper size), which makes them easy to wrap up and freeze and pull out when needed.
