Blogger of the week Steph Bartram shares a little of her life behind the scenes.

Tell us a little about you and your family?
My husband calls me the gypsy wife as I’m always looking for new adventures and experiences to immerse myself in, but at the moment we are pretty grounded in our lives in a small town in country Victoria having just built our first home there with our three young girls. In keeping with the gypsy theme, I started my career as a business manager then worked in a women’s gym and onto becoming a health/PE teacher. We spent a couple of years teaching up North in the Kimberley in Fitzroy Crossing before moving back to Victoria to get married and start our family.

Fighting A Rare Disease

Part One of Archie’s story appeared over on his blog, written by his mum Chloe, on 7 February this year. She shares how Archie is fighting a rare disease.

Our world was turned upside down last year – 24 November to be exact. A trip to emergency with what we thought may be a dehydrated two year old resulted in much more. Little Archie still hasn’t returned home.

We are at day 70-something in the intensive care unit at John Hunter Hospital, fighting a very rare disease that has taken over our vivacious little guy’s life, forcing him to relearn how to move, swallow, talk and even breathe.
